Were women, which means social spaces gloss over us. Doubly so because we're trans. Like, the bias kinda blots out whatever we do to build representation in those spaces. Ive def gone on about it in the past but kinda personally, just out loud
Good Girl Energy @AzureHusky@Necrotext yeah I'm just... Thinking about webcomics and movies and sense8 and how I love seeing trans women but they're all always skinny or just like the tiniest bit pudgy and it makes it hard sometimes
@AzureHusky my hope is progress will be made. But we live in a system that exists to oppress and erase us by default. And bias with our doctors and weight worsens it to an extreme degree. (Ive been dealing with it for nearly 8 months myself)
But like, a great start is slowly pulling back the curtain and removing the social bias against fat trans women. My personal furry sona art never made a ton of traction but its very much myself in real life in appearance- maybe others will have better luck
