@fluffy i think a lot of the time people get hung up on "true" when whether it's true is irrelevant. if something is true but not useful, well, it's useless. if something is helpful, who cares if it's true.
that's the case here and also for a lot of other things

@fluffy Also, people who are allergic to ragweed are allergic to stevia. It's not a wonder replacement.

"why are you always stuck in your screen instead of engaging the people around you?"
pro tip from an old cat who's been dealing with people complaining about preferring electronic communications to face-to-face communications for decades:
the next time someone gives you grief for your screen time, show them how you're having three separate conversations with the same group of people without anyone losing track of any of the three subjects and then ask them to replicate that standing in a group of four people at the same rate of conversation as the online group.
the only times I've ever seen a group pull it off face-to-face was when the group originally formed their bonds electronically and honed their group communication style over an extended period.
your mileage my vary.
if america has any sort of unique culture it's that we latched on so hard to "here's a problem, let's design a cool machine to solve it" that now ~70% of us are trained and licensed to pilot a giant complex metal monstrosity every day because that's more appealing to us than travelling half a mile on foot
